Life

Its kind of difficult these days keeping in touch with writing on here. School, work, and a new husband make for hardly any time. This week has been interesting though, so I thought I would write about it. After gaining a little 'just married weight' I starting working out again. Right now I'm at 3 times a week running two miles, lifting weights, and some ab exercises. I can already feel a change in my energy, though on Monday of this week I actually slept through two of my morning classes, which is not normal for me. Anyone who knows me knows I'm yawning at 11 pm, and usually up and perky at 9 am no matter if I need to be up at that time or not, 9 am is my bodys wake up.

Another interesting event recently is our laundry accident. I'm usually the one who does most of this task, though Joe helps me carry it all to the laundry facility. I check all the pockets of jeans and such, but it never occured to me to check in the collar of a shirt before, and sure enough, Joe left a ball point pen clipped to the collar in a polo. Which we proceeded to wash with some of our towels from the wedding, and my favortie jeans and pants, and all of joes shorts. So we had a load full of pen splattered clothing. We have yet to replace it though, makes it feel more like married life again, wearing the clothes anyway.

We needn't complain about money though, Joe and I have been doing pretty well with his job, mine, and the financial aid/ loans. We actually splurged and bought an XBOX 360! I thought that we kinda needed to buy something extravagant in order to still feel sane after all these months of pinching, but we both had buyers remorse the minute we got in the car. Oddly enough, I am the one that seems to play it more, Joe only likes it for its capability to connect to his computer in the office and play his music downloads on the surround stereo, and his movies on the big screen. Its quite a device, I've already beat Tomb Raider Legend.... ;)

Then the last of the week consisted of me spraining my ankle on the stairs to our apartment, and Joe's career fair, which is pretty much the most important part of his college career. All the companies hiring engineers came to the school and the graduating class gave out resumes. We were both nervous, but of course Joe makes me proud when he gets a call back THE SAME DAY AS THE CAREER FAIR from FMC Technologies wanting to take him out to dinner! I'm sure he is going to get a great job. The cool thing about it was that his best friend just happened to be the other engineer they chose out of the entire class to come along too, but they wont be competing, joes mechanical and matt's electrical. It would be cool to get to move to Houston where all the rest of Joe's friends live, and have matt come along!

Thats summed up. I wish you all a great semester/ fall.
