When it rains it pours....(its raining men.)

So with the upcoming holiday certain things come to mind. My birthday is the first thing to be concerned about. I really do not like growing up. Every added year adds more responsibility. I think I am at my limit at the moment. Being independent of my parents is something I didn't think I would have to encounter just yet.

I feel old.

20 isn't all that old i suppose, but when I can recall turning the ripe age of 7 and crying because I thought it meant I had to retire all my toys and become an adult, it makes me a little depressed. I miss endless summers, worlds of imagination in my back yard, and LEGO empires.

Is that a grey hair? Crap.

The other issue that seems to have surfaced is the fact that all of a sudden, men seem to be coming out of the woodwork. After several months in a drought when it comes to men, they seem to be everywhere. Not just normal ones either, real keepers! I had been in this 'wear t-shirts everyday, no makeup, hair in a ponytail funk.' One day I decided to let my hair down, and open my eyes I guess. ;) I know exactly what they mean by the comment, "When it rains, it pours." This time, however, it seems to be raining men....and I'm drenched.

You shoulda seen us there all along! Trust me, being an adult is much more fun! You do have to get rid of your old toys, yeah, but you get a whole set of new, much more enjoyable ones, too! You'll see, it's fun being "grown-up". ;-)
