Rough

Things have been rough lately. My job is pretty demanding, especially since i'm the newbie. I end up doing my job and everyone elses side jobs. But I'm getting the hang of everything really quickly. I'm starting to get my groove working a section of eight booths. These past two weeks schedule-wise have been horrible, because i've been getting the crappy shifts. This means I work doubles, and seeing as FOUR people quit over the last week, there are a lot of open shifts. I've even been asked in to BARTEND! Which is interesting, because I have no bar experience up until now. But the majority of drinks bought are margaritas and those are premade, so only a couple of drinks I have to look up and figure out. But now that I know my way around in the bar, and I'm one of only a few people over the age of 21, I've become a workhorse to some people. I have to get their drinks for them, because they can't go behind the bar and we dont have a bartender during the lunch shift.

Last night was the worst.

Evey went to the vet yesterday. They said she had puppy hookworms. Pretty common, and gave me some pills to give her with dinner. All went well until Joe and I were just about to fall asleep. Evey made some interesting noises and I jumped up to discover she had vomited all over the carpet. The pills made her nauseated all night long. She figeted and wandered around all night and wouldn't sleep. Needless to say I finally got to sleep around 4 am. Then opened Peppers Grill this morning. I'm exhausted. Poor evey. No, Poorer Melody......

Grindhouse

Well, Rodriguez and Tarantino have done it again. Joe and I went to see Grindhouse last night as our date night, since I will be gone all tonight and tomorrow with Odyssey of the Mind.

It was not to be expected. I had no idea what it was about on the way in there. But I came out satisfied. I give it a B. So if you like lots of gore, violence, Hot babes, Tarantino banter and dialogue, and outrageous storylines....this movie is for you.

I thought you might like and update on Evey, considering I post a picture almost everytime I write. She went to the groomers this week and got the standard schnauzer cut, its cute. She looks like a little english gentleman, I think. I've been joking with Robin for sometime about schnauzers looking like little gentlemen with beards, and how it would be funny if she had a little plaid sweater and a monacle. *giggle.
She makes you wanna say "hello govna," in that english accent.

May 4th here i come.

I feel like that episode of south park where Cartman is tired of waiting for the Wii to come out and decides to have himself frozen with Butters' help. That way Butters can just wake him the day it comes out.

Sappy Stuff

I am completely infatuated with my puppy. She is so adorable.

I'm afraid I've been spoiling her. She sleeps with Joe and I now, and follows me around everywhere. She is sitting at my feet this very second. But who couldn't love that face?

Joe and I are also completely addicted to tattooing now. I'm really wanting to either get my name or "beautiful song" written in cherokee someplace. Or add on to my hearts with something like this famous Lichtenstein image:


I talked Joe into liking this image of veronica lodge from the archie comics, I always wanted to be her, and I remember once someone at the chilis in Norman told me I looked like her. (yeah right) but i love it anyway.

He isn't sure about the colors yet. Cool eh?

I got a job at this restaurant in claremore "peppers". I like it well enough, and I'm better prepared since I worked at chilis. I should make pretty good money. I'm almost done with training, so If you are ever near there, stop by. I work most days.
